From the President:

Our Quiz Night was a success, raising $1152 to be shared between CBC and the MS Society of the ACT.

Thank you very much to all those who worked hard for the Quiz Night: our quizmaster extraordinaire Richard Hills, our calm and competent scoring team led by Perelle Scales, plus logistics experts John Hempenstall and Rick Nehmy. And thank you, of course, to all those who attended, gave generously and helped to restore the playing area to normality afterwards.

To my knowledge (and we all know the President doesn’t know everything!) CBC raised $600 for Neura Research last week – again thank you.

I hope that all mentors and mentees are enjoying themselves – I certainly am.

Can you bring slices or help on Sunday (Southern Tablelands Teams)? Please see event details below to contact Trish.

Best wishes,

Information session about changes to the Bridge Federation of the ACT (BFACT) constitution

The BFACT constitution is outdated. In some cases it is not compliant with legislation and in others it has not kept up with changes to information technology.  BFACT Council is working to update the document with the intention of presenting changes to the BFACT AGM in September 2018.

An information session will be held on Sunday 20th May 2018 at the conclusion of the Southern Tablelands Teams at the Canberra Bridge Club.

All are welcome to attend. If you are unable to attend and would like information please contact BFACT President Marianne Bookallil (0422 905 862) or BFACT Treasurer John Yoon (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

Lighter Moments

People with small minds talk about other people. People with ordinary minds talk about events. People with great minds talk about ideas. People with warped minds talk about bridge hands.

We had a partnership misunderstanding. My partner assumed I knew what I was doing.
