Lessons

From the President:

Thank you to Rick Nehmy, CBC’s Pianola administrator, for all he does throughout the year, and this week especially for giving two helpful talks for members to learn more about how to best use Pianola.

The children who attended Bridge 4 Kids this week had a good time thanks to the support given in various forms by Patricia McDonald, Nikki Riszko, Andrew Struik, Margaret Kyburz, Susie Ryrie and Ross Crichton.

Best wishes,

Pam

Session Starting Times

Could members please be at the club at least 10 minutes before the start of play as this assists the director in setting up the movement.

Thank You to Standby Players at the Summer Festival

Many thanks top those members of the Canberra Bridge Club who not only volunteered as stand-by players but then turned up, often very much at the last minute. Without the willingness of players to put themselves through the uncertainties of will I or won't I be needed today, managing last minute fill-in players would just be impossible.... and they would even turn up with a smile on their faces. What more could I ask?

Again thanks,

Perelle Scales

Library

Club members will be aware that we have been doing some work on our library. Ella Beer has been sorting the collection, discarding books that are very old, damaged or dirty so that we have some space for more attractive titles. If you have some recent books, fiction or general non-fiction, that are in good condition, we would love to give them a new home.

Please leave your donations in the box provided or give them to the managers.
