Canberra in Bloom Bridge Festival and Ballarat Bridge Club Visit

Dear Members,

Most are aware of the Canberra in Bloom Festival and also the recent interclub visit by CBC to Ballarat. The Ballarat Bridge Club will have members attending Festival. I am still looking for CBC Members to offer to billet BBC members and I particularly seek north side residents. It is an easy commitment, Bed and Breakfast and I am planning on having the visitors eat at clubs at night. Their expected arrival is Wednesday 27th Sept with departure on Tuesday 3rd Oct. Not all are likely to stay for the full program. Most of the BBC members are pensioners and accommodations costs in Canberra beyond most of them, hence the billeting arrangement. It worked extremely well last year with new friendships being forged. Additionally in 2018 when CBC does a return visit to Ballarat you can expect to be billeted in return. See below for the 2018 program.
I have a potential tourist plan for Thursday 28th Sept where CBC Members can join in, details in next week’s newsletter.
Most are aware that CBC visited Ballarat recently, four of our roosters awaiting a plate of cake and Begonias for which Ballarat is famous.
