BFACT is running the ANC Open Stage 2 & Restricted Butler Sunday 2 April at CBC

This is Stage 2 of the ANC trials and the first 4 contending pairs earn a place in the Open ANC trials final. There is also a restricted event (<300MP). The first contending pair wins free entry into the ANC restricted pairs. There are prizes for each category. All members are encouraged to play in this event.

Master the Basics

These lessons start at 9.15am sharp. Please don’t be late. The next lesson is Wednesday April 5, with Barb Toohey at 9.15am. The topic is “Director play-Suit” – Trumping Losers! Stay and play in the session starting at 10.00am.

 

Supervised Sessions

Supervised sessions, with a lesson preceding the play, are on Monday nights at 7pm, and Thursday mornings at 9.30am.

The committee is preparing a programme for further bridge lessons for rising stars and would appreciate your advice about what you want to learn and when you would like the lessons.  Obviously we will not be able to satisfy everyone; but your comments will be taken seriously.


Another Bridge Session?

The committee is considering opening up another session during the day later in the year.  Could you please indicate in the suggestion box in the Barry Turner roomthe day and time that you would suit you as this will help with planning.

Ballarat festival of bridge

Wednesday evening 5th April to Saturday 8th April with farewell dinner on Saturday evening.

A farewell dinner will be held at Barkly’s Lounge and Bar 43 Main Street Ballarat, at a cost of $31.50 for a two course meal, (various choices) plus drinks.

Single entries are welcome and car pooling may be available.
